Our CORE Objectives
To create a self-sustaining, community-rooted ecosystem of education, economic opportunity, cultural expression, storytelling/documentaries, and healing - built by us, for us - where creative entrepreneurship, ancestral wisdom and collective support are used to: reverse generational curses, rebuild Black families and community ties, repower our financial sovereignty, reclaim our cultural narratives and restore emotional, spiritual and mental wholeness.
This ecosystem nurtures creatives, families, youth, educators, healers, veterans, elders, and small business owners - giving them tools, resources, training and protection, storytelling/documentaries, skills and community infrastructure needed to not only survive but thrive together.
And it flows from and aligns with your dedication.

Our Mission
The Banana Collective VA exists to create safe, inspired, community-rooted spaces where creativity, wellness, empowerment, and cultural pride can flourish. We honor our Ancestors by building opportunites that heal, uplift and connect our people - body mind and spirit. We do this through healing-central leadership, creativity and artistry, education and empowerment programs, economic elevation opportunities, community events, outreach and safe spaces, holistic wellness, sustainable collaboration and authentic storytelling and documentaries.
We are not just building programs, we are restoring the “village values” we grew up on and sharing them with the younger generations by strengthening the roots of our Ancestors by creating freedom pathways for generations.
Our Dedication
From our Ancestors and their dreams to Us and ours, it is our honor to create in love. It is our therapy to heal our hearts. It is our honor to support and love one another. And it is our honor to do all off it in the name of The Most High and our Ancestors.
The Banana Collective VA
The Banana Collective VA is a sanctuary of creativity, culture and community healing. We uplift Black families through artistry, empowerment, and village-centered support, transforming imagination into liberation. We connect artists, educators, healers, and community leaders to build sustainable opportunities that strengthen our people from within. We celebrate Black culture, support local families and grow community from the inside out. Our family includes all and especially women and children.

We rise together through creativity, culture and care.The empowerment communities of The Banana Collective VA are where vision becomes movement; they are the heart of what we do. The spaces are designed to uplift, educate, and reconnect our people to creativity, wellness and purpose. Each community focuses on a unique part of our shared mission.
Our nonprofit arm, The Empowerment Project Inc-VA is dedicated to social wellness, education and community restoration. Workshops, mentorship programs and outreach events bring resources directly to the people where they’re needed most.
